Chronic pain & the mind–body connection
Every test clear. Still in pain.
This is the page I wish had existed when I couldn't walk a few hundred metres. It's the reason this whole practice exists.
I've been where you might be
At thirty, my body said no more. An unexplained pain started in my feet, then spread to my legs, hands and arms. For eight months I couldn't work. Some days I couldn't walk a few hundred metres.
I tried everything. Every test: parasites, lead, mould, nerve damage, autoimmune. Yoga, breathwork, steroid injections, acupuncture, CBD, psilocybin therapy, biofeedback machines. Eventually a doctor told me some people just live with pain their whole lives. For a while, I believed them. I got depressed, gained 30 kilos, and stopped seeing the people I love.
If you're living some version of that, you already know the loneliest part: the invisible battle of a pain nobody can find on a scan, and the quiet implication that maybe you're imagining it.
You're not imagining it. Your pain is real. Mine was too.
The question nobody had asked me
In all those months of tests and treatments, not one person asked what my body might be carrying emotionally. Yet the nervous system that produces pain and the nervous system that holds fear, guilt and shame are not two systems. They are one. When emotional weight has nowhere to go, the body will sometimes speak on its behalf. Modern pain science increasingly recognises how deeply the brain and nervous system shape persistent pain, especially pain that outlasts or escapes medical explanation.
I booked my first Emotional Healing Hypnosis session to find answers about pain. Under hypnosis, I found a memory from when I was three years old, one my conscious mind had deleted, that had quietly written the story of my worth and been running my life ever since: the drinking, the eating, the hiding. I went in asking about my body. I found the weight it had been carrying.
What I will never tell you
I won't tell you one session cured my pain. It didn't, and you'll never hear me make claims like that. I don't diagnose, I don't treat medical conditions, and this work never replaces your doctor, your specialists or your treatment plan. Please keep all of them.
What I will tell you is what that first session gave me: it showed me the root. And once you've seen the root, you can't unsee it. "Some people just live with pain" quietly became I can heal. Today my body is healthy, and for the first time in my life I'm genuinely in love with it.
How Emotional Healing Hypnosis approaches persistent pain
In a deep session of around three hours, we treat the pain as a messenger rather than a malfunction. In deep relaxation, aware and in control throughout, we ask what the pain is carrying and follow the feeling back to the earliest moments it connects to. There, we release the emotional charge those moments have been holding and give the younger you what was needed back then.
Whatever your body does with that release is your body's business, and I make no promises on its behalf. What the work offers is the part of the picture nobody else was asking about: the emotional root, met seriously and gently.
What a session looks like
We start with a real conversation about your history, your pain and everything you've already tried; nothing you say will be doubted here. Then a gradual descent into deep relaxation, the root work itself, and a gentle return. Afterwards you receive a personalised hypnosis track to listen to for 30 days, supporting your nervous system daily while the work settles.
Common questions
Are you saying my pain is in my head?
No. Your pain is real, and being told otherwise is its own kind of wound. The mind-body perspective says something different: nervous system, emotions and body are one connected system, and unresolved emotional weight can express itself physically. Exploring that is not a denial of your pain; it's taking your pain seriously from another direction.
Can hypnotherapy cure chronic pain?
No, and be wary of anyone who says it can. One session did not cure my pain, and you'll never hear me make claims like that. This work explores the emotional root beneath the pattern, alongside your medical care, never in place of it. No outcome is ever promised.
I've done every test and nothing shows. Is this for me?
That was exactly my situation: every test, every specialist, no answers. Unexplained pain with clear medical investigations is where the emotional root question becomes most worth asking. Keep your doctor at the centre, and bring the rest of the story to a free discovery call.
