Where anxiety usually begins

Anxiety is rarely about the things it attaches to. Deadlines, health worries, social situations: these are the surfaces it lands on, not the source. Underneath, there is usually an early experience, or a long series of small ones, where a younger you concluded that the world isn't safe, that love can be withdrawn, that you must stay alert to survive. That conclusion became subconscious programming, and the programming became a nervous system that never fully stands down.

This is why insight alone so often isn't enough. You can know your anxiety is out of proportion and still feel it. Knowing lives in the conscious mind. The alarm lives deeper.

How Emotional Healing Hypnosis approaches it

In a deep session of around three hours, we don't fight the anxiety and we don't paper over it with affirmations. We follow it. In deep relaxation, with you aware and in control the whole time, the anxious feeling itself becomes the guide, leading us back to the earliest memories where the bracing began. There, we release the emotional charge those moments have been holding and give the younger you what was missing back then: safety, reassurance, a voice.

When the original alarm is finally heard and answered, the nervous system has less reason to keep ringing it. That is the aim of the work: not managing the noise, but visiting the room it comes from.

What a session looks like

We begin with a long, honest conversation, because context matters and because arriving shouldn't feel clinical. Then I guide you into deep relaxation, gradually and at your pace. We follow the feeling to its roots and work with what we find. Before you return, new understandings are anchored in. Afterwards you receive a personalised hypnosis track to listen to for 30 days, so the calm has a chance to become familiar rather than foreign.

You will be aware for all of it. You can speak, move and stop at any time. Nothing happens without your consent.

I don't diagnose anxiety disorders and I don't treat medical conditions. If you're under the care of a doctor or psychologist, this work sits alongside that care, never in place of it. And I will never promise you an outcome, because you've likely been promised enough. What I offer is a serious, structured way to look underneath the pattern, and my honesty about whether it's right for you.

Hypnotherapy is widely used to address the subconscious patterns beneath anxiety. Emotional Healing Hypnosis follows the anxious feeling back to the earliest experiences where your nervous system first learned to brace, and releases the emotional charge held there. It is not a medical treatment and no outcome is guaranteed; it works alongside (never instead of) care from your doctor.

What if I feel too anxious to be hypnotised?

Anxious minds are often excellent at this work, because anxiety is proof of a vivid imagination pointed in a painful direction. The session begins with a long, unhurried conversation, and the descent into relaxation is gradual and always within your control. You stay aware and can stop at any time.

How many sessions will I need?
